The Mundane can be a Blessing!

There are many ways in which we can find joy in the mundane tasks of life- the last time I went grocery shopping, I left smiling thinking of the the many things that makes this seemingly mundane task a blessing!

1.  The nice older man who always cuts my lunch meat at the deli counter.  We don't know each other's names, but we know each other's face.  He notices when I don't have Ella with me and asks about her.

2.  The other man who works in produce who ALWAYS speak to those perusing the fruits and veggies!  He always asks if he can help me find something particular.

3.  The person who is walking every isle just like you are, but walking the opposite direction down the isle.  I love turning the corner and seeing that same person coming towards you that you have already said  "hi" or "excuse me" or "thank you" to and you aren't sure if you should continue to make eye contact again or just look away and pass by...... only to turn the corner on the next isle and continue to see the same person again and again! =) (I know I am not the only one who experiences this, right?)

4.  The man who is looking for something his wife asked him to get and can't find it so he asks you to direct him!  That's a good man to help his wife!

5.  My treat!  Yes, I treat myself every time I go to the grocery store!  The dairy isle is the very last isle so I always grab an individual Horizon vanilla or chocolate milk (it depends on my mood).  I drink it on my way home!

In what ways do you see the mundane tasks of life a joy and a blessing??
