Little Library Baby Shower

In the previous post, I told you about my college roommate Julie who is having a baby in January!  We are so thrilled for them!  It has been a long journey of ups and downs for them, and the Lord has seen fit to bless them in His perfect timing!  Julie and Noah are such a sweet couple and will be wonderful parents that will lead little Elijah in the ways of the Lord!  Here are some pictures of the shower decor!  Unfortunately, I didn't get behind the camera during the shower.

We themed the food around childrens books.  One book we used is The Hungry Caterpillar.  So we had cake pops to look like it!  I got the idea from Pinterest!

I made a bib and matching burp cloth

We had an egg and sausage casserole in honor of the book Green Eggs and Ham.  In addition, we had a vegetable tray in honor of the book The Carrot Seed, and apples with caramel dip in honor of the book Ten Apples Up On Top.

Instead of a card, each guest was to bring a book, so I made these bookends for us to display the books.  These are only a few of the books.  The letters are wrapped in yarn- another Pinterest idea!

For the coffee table, I stacked some books from our home and placed a candle on top!

It was a great time with great women!
