When you are 5 years old

I remember being a kid at christmas time...  (quick note- my sister and I are 12 years apart).  When I graduated from Kindergarten, she graduated from high school and went to college 2 hours away.  After she graduated she continued to live in her college town, so her coming home for Christmas was always something special.  We lived in a house that had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.  That is where my brother and I lived.  On christmas eve, after going to my Aunt Maryellen's for dinner, we would all open our gift of christmas pajamas, get comfortable and settle in for a sleepless night!  My sister would sleepover with me in my room while my brother was just on the other side of the wall.  Little did I know he was up at 4am, sneaking down the stairs to see what we all got (cause you know Santa doesn't wrap his gifts, so those are just sitting out).  I would wake around 6am so excited while my sister kept me upstairs until mom and dad said it was ok to come down.  I could hardly stand it!  I wanted to run down and see what was under the tree.  Part of the wait was for my brother- maybe we should let him sleep a little longer.  Of course he already knew what he was getting so he was in no hurry to rise and get downstairs.  Once my parents finally decided it was ok to get him, we began the excitement of Christmas morning!

This year, my niece Lauren had a pretty big christmas!  She got an American Girl doll- it was all she talked about for months!  She brought it over to my parents house and received another outfit for her doll from Uncle Bryan.  The only other thing she really wanted was a dress up wedding dress.  Mama and Pops delivered on that request.  It was hard to wrap, so they put it in a garment bag and Pops brought it out for her open.  Here is how it all went down...
