Beach Babies!

We went to the beach with my college roommates and their families.  As Andy would describe it, it was a comedy of errors...

1. The first thing to go down was the day we before we were to leave, Julie called to tell us she and Noah would not be joining us because her Great Uncle passed away and they would be attending the funeral friday.  our trip was a Wed- Sun.

2.  The night before we left I was making a rehearsal dinner cake and had earlier broke a glass jar over my trash can.  The break was a clean chunk, so I didn't think there was glass on the floor.  Well, there was and I stepped on it and it lodged into my foot.  The next morning at 6:30 I called the doctor and they had to dig it out!

3.  It took us twice the amount of time to get there because Ella wasn't happy and the nav took us around our elbow to get to our thumb!  Needless to say we took a different route home and thankfully Ella was happy!

4. One husband got a ticket on their way down to the beach... not Andy.  The story is that he was pulled for 46 in a 35- BUT when he pulled over the speed limit sign directly in front of him was for 45.  The police officer told him his tail end had to be past the speed limit sign before he begins to speed up.

5.  Summer and Michael had to leave Friday night last minute because they got a phone call that her grandmother was in the hospital and they did not think she would make it through the night.  Praise the Lord she is still fighting!

6.  Saturday morning my husband had a glass jar break in his hand and cut his finger REALLY badly. It took a chunk of skin off his finger.  It wasn't a laceration so it wasn't anything stitches would have helped, but it took a few hours for it to stop bleeding!

7.  Saturday night- our last night- we went out to eat and Alex and Suzy's car started over heating on the way there.  We went and ate and got ice cream, but after that, Andy and I had to go to an auto parts store and get a part for Alex so he could fix the car.  We were in the parking lot until 10 or 10:30- so much for going back to the condo and playing games!

None the less, we had a great time!  Here are some pictures from the night we went out with the final two couples remaining!

So cool you all still get together! What great memories you will make as everyone's family grows! Brooklyn has the same dress Macie is wearing! I bought it last year on sale and can't wait for her to wear it this July!
